TWO paedophiles are challenging their convictions for murdering a woman to prevent her exposing their activities.
William Lauchlan, 37, and Charles O'Neill, 51, were also found guilty of dumping the body of victim Allison McGarrigle at sea after the murder at Largs, Ayrshire, in June 1997.
The 39-year-old woman's remains have never been found.
The appeal at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edin-burgh centres around a question by trial judge Lord Pentland that lawyers claim was "hugely prejudicial".
