A MULTI-million pound extension to a Glasgow shopping centre is expected to bring in around £1million in rental income.
Hammerson, the landlords, said the new leisure-focused units at Silverburn, which will include nine new restaurants and a 14-screen cinema, will open in autumn this year.
Top chains including Zizzi, Pizza Express and TGI Friday have already signed up, with 84% of the space already spoken for.
A company spokesman said: "The restaurants are expected to operate from this autumn with the remainder of the scheme open for business early next year."
An extension planned at Abbotsinch Retail Park in Paisley, which Hammerson acquired in October 2012, could also be completed later this year.
