A retrospective of work by Scots artist Jack Vettriano has become the most popular exhibition ever staged at Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
The exhibition has already been seen by more than 123,300 people surpassing the previous record held by the Glasgow Boys exhibition four years ago.
The final number of visitors is expected to soar further before it closes on SundayFeb 23..
Because of the huge number of people desperate to see Vettriano's work, Kelvingrove will open until 8pm tonightwed, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The artist said: "I was astonished and very flattered to find out my retrospective exhibition has received a record-breaking number of visitors.
"From the very outset, I have been treated with enormous warmth and appreciation by the management and staff of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and I am deeply touched to hear their enthusiasm has been echoed by so many of the visitors to my exhibition during its five month run."
All the paintings in the exhibition are on loan from private collectors including Jack Nicholson and Sir Tim Rice and many have not been seen for 20 years.
