Health Secretary Alex Neil has given a 100% assurance that all hospital in-patients in Scotland will be seen within 12 weeks, despite admitting his guarantee could be breached.

The Scottish Government and NHS "are going to get 100%" compliance with the legally binding 12-week treatment time guarantee, Mr Neil said. But he acknowledged it "may not be possible to ensure that there are no breaches of the guarantee".

He rejected Labour accusations the so-called guarantee was "a farce".
