A MAN has appeared in court for allegedly making racist remarks at MSP Humza Yousaf.

Christopher Chisholm, is accused of acting in a "racially aggravated manner" which caused or was intended to cause alarm or distress to Mr Yousaf.

The 30-year-old, from Gartcosh, North Lanarkshire is alleged to have shouted, swore and made racist remarks on February 7, at Dundas Street in Glasgow.

He made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday (Thurs) and was released on bail by sheriff Joseph Platt.

Chisholm is expected to appear at court again at a later date.
