A MAN was due in court today in connection with a £219,000 drugs raid.

Officers recovered cannabis from a flat in High Street in Dumbarton follwing a tip off from the public.

A 19 year-old man was arrested in connection with the recovery and was due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Inspector Douglas Wilson, Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Division, said: "This recovery was discovered following information from the local community.

"Public support is crucial in our continuing fight against drug related crime.

"It is our intention to disrupt those involved in criminality and we will take vigorous action against them.

"Members of the public are reminded what to look out for and are asked to continue to assist officers by reporting any suspicions to Police Scotland on the non-emergency number 101."
