A MAN has died after being involved in a late night crash in Glasgow's South Side.
The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, was struck by a car in Pollok.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Nitshill Road late on Thursday night.
It happened around 11.20pm and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The busy road was closed in both directions for more than five hours as officers carried out investigations.
It is understood relatives have been informed of the tragedy, but the victim's identity is not yet being released.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman today confirmed the man had died.
She added: "At around 11.20pm yesterday, a man was struck by a vehicle in Nitshill Road, in Glasgow.
"The man was pronounced dead at the scene."
