CHEEKY police poked fun at a would-be burglar on social networking site Twitter.
Officers from Police Scotland's Glasgow Southside Gorbals division tweeted a picture of a locked jail cell yesterday afternoon.
It was accompanied by the words: "Man arrested for trying to break into Westmoreland St flat.
"Good luck with lock on this bad boy!"
It was signed off with the hashtag #keepingpeoplesafe
The tweet was a hit with the public, one of whom replied: "That is quality policing! Well done guys! Made me smile."
The account - @GorbalsPolice - has almost 1000 followers and regularly features light-hearted messages.
