CELTIC star Stefan Johansen helped launch a new partnership between the club and Scottish Disability Sport.

The Norwegian star met with Gordon McCormack, chairman of Scottish Disability Sport (SDS) and the Parasport Festival kids, to announce the scheme.

The club has made a donation to SDS of more than £20,000, raised at the 1888 Charity Shield seven-a-side tournament last year.

The funding boost was announced during the fifth Scottish Disability Sport West of Scotland Para-Sport Festival, held yesterday.

Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell hosted the event for pupils with a physical disability or visual impairment from secondary schools across the west of Scotland.

Pupils took part in badminton, basketball, boccia, athletics, football, judo, tennis, table tennis and rowing.

Coaches from Celtic and students from the University of the West of Scotland helped out on the day.
