A new product designed to protect people against carbon monoxide poisoning has been invented by a firm from Bellshill, Lanarkshire.
Smart Compliance's home carbon monoxide detector, the CO1, has been four-years in the making and can send alert messages to multiple mobile phones, such as a neighbour, family or friend.
The device automatically checks CO levels in your home each week and then sends a text message.
The message confirms your system works properly, tells you if the device needs a new battery and confirms whether the CO levels are acceptable or dangerous.
Smart Compliance directors Scott Wallace said: "This product is going to provide vital peace of mind and safety for so many people."
