POPULAR Scottish music festival RockNess will not go ahead this year.
Organisers of the event, which has attracted a host of stars, said it was taking "a year off" because of high profile events including the Commonwealth Games.
They said the festival, which takes place on the banks of Loch Ness, would return in 2015.
In a statement posted on the RockNess Facebook page, organisers said: "We'd like to thank you for your support over the last eight years.
"Due to the addition of a number of events alongside the World Cup and the Commonwealth Games we've decided to take a year off.
"We're using this break to make the event bigger and better than ever in 2015 so have an amazing summer and see you back at the Loch next year!"
Big names to play at the festival, which attracts up to 35,000 people, have included Fatboy Slim and Kasabian.
