PUPILS from Blackfriars Primary visited Glasgow Green to celebrate the official reveal of a hexagonal Native American bench.

Created by Glasgow sculptor Robert Coia, the bench is made from oak salvaged from fallen and damaged trees. Plaster carvings by the pupils surround the bench.

The artist's work will be featured in 11 city parks as part of the council's twinning initiative linking Glasgow's green spaces with different regions and countries of the Commonwealth.

Robert visited Blackfriars for a special workshop to teach the children to make a sculpture.

Their designs have been inspired by Native American mythology.
