A MAJOR road out of Glasgow will be closed one way overnight on Thursday to allow resurfacing work to be carried out.
The works between the Shawhead Junction and Chapelhall Junction on the A8 is part of a £30,000 investment by Transport Scotland to renew sections of the road which has been worn over time.
A diversion will be in place while engineers carry out the works between 8pm on Thursday and 6am on Friday
Ian Stewart, of road maintenance provider BEAR Scotland, said: "The closure during these works is essential for the safety of the workforce and the travelling public.
"These operations have been scheduled to take place overnight to minimise delays."
