ALMOST 25 firefighters tackled a blaze at a church in Ayrshire.
The church in Lanehead Terrace, New Cumnock, was damaged in the blaze.
Incident commander Iain McMeekin, of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, said firefighters had to use breathing apparatus to fight the "well-developed" blaze.
Police Scotland closed the road and specialist officers from the SFRS Fire Investigation Unit in Glasgow attended.
