THE number of birds of prey found dead within a two-mile area in the Highlands has risen to 13, with poisoning confirmed in some of the cases.
Nine red kites and four buzzards have been found in the last week near Conon Bridge in Wester Ross.
Police, the RSPB, the Scottish SPCA and experts from the Scottish Agricultural College are working to investigate the wildlife crime.
