THE number of weekday trains between Oban and Glasgow will double under timetable changes announced by ScotRail.
Aberdeen to Glasgow Sunday services will also increase from every two hours to every hour.
A new service will also be introduced between Ayr and Edinburgh, which will go via Glasgow Central Station. A new Sunday service for Anniesland via Maryhill is also scheduled, and Glasgow's Anderston station will open on Sundays.
Steve Montgomery, managing director of ScotRail, said: "We are seeing strong demand for Sunday services."
