Three men have been arrested after allegedly barricading themselves in a house and threatening police with weapons.
Officers were called to the house in Old Glasgow Road, Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, at around 7.45am.
The ambulance service had informed officers of a report of a man having been bitten by a dog and a disturbance at the property, Police Scotland said.
When they got there, a police officer was allegedly assaulted and three men allegedly barricaded themselves within the house and threatened police.
Public order and firearms officers were at the scene.
Three men, aged 21, 22 and 38, were arrested and taken into custody just after 10am, police said.
A number of weapons were recovered from the house and the Doberman dog was removed for its own well-being, officers added.
A police officer was treated for a minor injury at Hairmyres Hospital and has since been released. The man who was bitten by the dog suffered a minor injury.
The men are expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow.
