FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a blaze at a stately home overlooking Blair Drummond Safari Park.

Crews rushed to the fire at the property near Stirling.

They were met by a "rapidly developing fire" in the roof space of a two-storey detached house.

No one was in the house when crews arrived at 11.30am yesterday, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said.

Group Manager Martin Brandrick said work to bring the blaze under control took over two hours.

A fire investigation team from Livingston will probe the cause of the fire.
