A BURNING vehicle today sparked rush-hour traffic chaos in Glasgow city centre.
Drivers ground to a halt in massive tailbacks after the blaze closed part of the M8.
Emergency services were quickly at the scene, on the motorway near Glasgow Catherdral, to put out the fire-hit vehicle.
Commuters on Scotland's busiest motorway were stuck in queues all the way back from Junction 14 to Junction 11.
Two lanes at Junction 14 were closed by the blaze, which started at around 8am.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze as the road was cleared.
