A NEW music festival is to be held at the recently refurbished Kelvingrove Park bandstand.
The event, which will be run over two weekends, will feature a host of UK and American stars.
Magners Summer Nights is the first major event to be announced at the 2500-capacity bandstand since its £2million refurbishment.
American singer songwriter Steve Earle will take to the stage on Thursday, August 7.
The following night it will be the turn of The Waterboys, followed by Alison Moyet on Saturday, August 9.
On Thursday, August 14, Capercaillie will kick off the action with Bellshill band Teenage Fanclub appearing the next night and Squeeze on Saturday, August 16.
Paul Condron, marketing director for Magners Irish Cider, said: "2014 is an incredible year for Glasgow, a city that rightly enjoys a great reputation for music.
"We are sure Magners Summer Nights will add to this reputation."
