EX-RANGERS star Charlie Miller has had his trial for allegedly failing to give breath samples to police and urinating in the street adjourned.

The 38-year-old was taken to Helen Street police office on November 16 where he spent the rest of the weekend in the cells.

Miller, from Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, is accused of failing to give the police two breath samples at the police station.

He also faces a charge of urinating in Woodville Street in Glasgow's Ibrox area.

Miller appeared in the dock for a hearing yesterday at Glasgow's Justice of the Peace Court and was represented by defence lawyer Neil Kilcoyne.

He maintained his plea of not guilty and the case was continued September due to lack of court time.

Professional footballer Miller started with Rangers in 1993 until 1999. During some of that time he was on loan to Leicester City and Watford.

He has also played for Dundee, Norwegian side SK Brann and Australian team Gold Coast United before going to Clyde in February 2011.
