Diners at a branch of Nando's got more than a serving of chicken when the Prime Minister walked in for a meal.
People took to social media to speak of their shock as David Cameron sat down for dinner at the restaurant in Park Street, Bristol.
Customers quickly reached for their phones to take pictures as Mr Cameron ordered a meal with colleagues at the popular fast-food chain famous for its spicy peri-peri chicken and chips.
Among the diners was Becky Smith, who posted a picture on Twitter of Mr Cameron stopping to pose for a selfie with her.
Accompanying the picture, she tweeted: "snapapolitician lol".
The Prime Minister, who was wearing an open-collared black shirt with his sleeves rolled up, appeared relaxed as he tucked into his meal.
Another Twitter user, Melissa Bennett, posted a picture of Mr Cameron looking across the restaurant as other diners took photos.
She tweeted: "Oh my days, in Nandos and David Cameron walks in."
Her friend Hollie Buckle also tweeted a picture and added: "I knew there was a reason I dragged Melissa Bennett to Nandos. David Cameron only went and turned up!!!"
