SCOTTISH contemporary artist James Watt will open a new exhibition in Glasgow tomorrow in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

His work features alongside 80 prominent Scottish artists in Art For Care, a show of more than 300 pieces at The Lighthouse until May 14.

All the art will be on sale, with at least 50% from the sale of each piece going to the charity.

The event has been devised by Marie Curie patron May Storrie in memory of her husband Donald Storrie, who led the Big Build Appeal for the Marie Curie Hospice, Glasgow. Mr Storrie died of pulmonary fibrosis two years ago.

It is hoped the exhibition could become an annual event.

Blair and Sheridan jewellers have created 100 limited edition silver daffodils and a one-off golden daffodil with a diamond.

These will be sold at the show and the golden daffodil auctioned online, alongside a limited edition signed Jack Vettriano print at: www.mctears.co.uk.
