MAJOR resurfacing roadworks worth £250,000 are set to begin in Larkhall.
Three phases of works will take place from May 21 to June 10, with road closures required in the first two stages.
Machan Road, Strutherhill and between John Street and Middleton Avenue's Strutherhill Industrial Estate will be affected.
Temporary traffic signals and diversions will be introduced.
Gordon Mackay, Head of Roads and Transportation, said: "On such a busy route no solution is perfect but we are confident that the scheme selected is the quickest and most efficient, with least disruption to residents and businesses."
