A cannabis cultivation worth an estimated street value of £145,000 was recovered from a flat in Pollokshields.
Police Scotland officers, acting upon information received from the local community, searched a flat in Leslie Street at around 3pm on Saturday, May 10.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the recovery.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Members of the public are reminded what to look out for in reference to cannabis cultivations and are asked to continue to assist officers by reporting any suspicions to Police Scotland on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted in confidence on 0800 555 111.
Police Scotland say you should be aware of the following factors -
1. The windows of the property are permanently covered from the inside
2. Visits to the premises occur at unusual times of the day or night
3. People often do not live in the premises and only visit to maintain them.
4. The offenders may call daily or weekly but usually do not stay long
5. The cannabis or by-products such as used fertiliser will be removed in black bin bags or laundry bags
6. Compost bags or gardening equipment may be left outside, usually in the rear of the premises
7. There may be a vent protruding through the roof or a rear window
8. There may be a pungent smell emanating from the premises
9. There may be noise coming from the equipment in the premises (e.g. cooling fans).
