ORGANISERS were forced to close a Commonwealth Games ticket website and phoneline amid a fiasco with sales.
Games bosses made the decision after technical issues blighted the sale of 100,000 extra tickets for this summer's event.
Chief executive of Glasgow 2014 David Grevemberg apologised after sports fans faced lengthy delays while trying to buy tickets.
He said it was "totally unacceptable" that people had to wait hours while trying to buy seats.
Meanwhile, women's doubles pair Imogen Bankier and Kirsty Gilmour were among the 10-strong team named to lead Badminton Scotland's Games challenge.
