ORCHID fans will flock to the Botanic Gardens this weekend for one of the highlights of the horticultural calendar.
The two-day fair will showcase beautiful flowers and plants from specialist nurseries and offer advice on how to look after them.
There will be displays by the Scottish Orchid Society, the British Cactus and Succulent Society and the Glasgow and District Beekeepers Association.
The event is run by the city council and is now in its 17th year. Entry is free and doors will be open from 10am until 6pm on Saturday and until 5pm on Sunday.
Alistair Watson, the council's executive member for land and environment, said: "The orchid fair attracts thousands of people throughout the country and is a great opportunity to view a wide range of exotic plants not so easily found anywhere else in Scotland.
"Whether you want to buy, ask advice or simply just look and learn, the event guarantees an enjoyable day out"
