PUPILS from Pollok have been voted runners-up in a contest to showcase ideas for a greener future.
Teams made up of half a dozen 12 to 14 year olds from nine schools, including St Paul's High in Pollok, attended the Go4SET national final at the Scottish Parliament.
The event was supported by Viridor, the firm building the £154million Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre at Polmadie.
Go4SET is a UK-wide educational programme allowing secondary pupils to work with organisations to address issues of sustainability.
Communications manager at Viridor, Martin Grey, said: "Scotland has an ambitious agenda to become one of Europe's most resource-efficient nations. How we manage resources and transform waste is central to that."
Pupils from St Paul's High School presented their project on waste management in the school.
