A MAN who told a jury he couldn't remember repeatedly stabbing his wife in a frenzied att-ack is facing a lengthy prison sentence.
Yasir Arfat, 54, attacked partner Annah Mohammad with a blade following an argument at their home in Glasgow's South Side in January last year.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard they had been arguing about whether Arfat could travel to Pakistan with their children to see his family.
The court heard that Arfat - who suffers from mental health problems - said he couldn't remember stabbing her.
However, following a trial, a jury yesterday convicted Arfat of assaulting his wife by striking her repeatedly on the body with a knife to her severe injury and to the danger of her life.
Arfat, of Kinning Park, Glasgow, will be sentenced at the High Court on July 1.
