TWO Scottish rugby players have appeared in court charged with assaulting another rugby player in Glasgow's West End.
Rory Hughes, 21, and Ryan Grant, 28, of Glasgow Warriors, are alleged to have assaulted Glasgow Hawks' player Ally Maclay on Great Western Road, on October 27, last year.
They appeared at the city's Sheriff Court charged with assault to severe injury.
They made no plea or declaration.
