footballers played a blinder to help the Glasgow food bank cause.
Each player had to make a food donation before being allowed to take part in a kickabout organised by charity bosses at Footy for Food.
It took place at the Crownpoint Sports Complex, off Gallowgate, and was part of a 10-city, 10-day UK tour by the charity to generate donations for local food banks.
Founder Richard Loat said: "Footy For Food is all about communities, volunteers and individuals coming together to help support food banks through football.
"Food banks are a vital service, but they need all the support they can get and that is where FFF is trying to help."
Mr Loat said Glasgow was chosen --not because of its number of foodbanks - but because people are passionate about football.
He added: "During this World Cup year, we want to highlight that football is just one way people can help those around them."
