GLASGOW sweltered on the hottest day of the year as the mercury peaked at 26C.
The city out-sizzled Brazil yesterday and forecasters are predicting the mini-heatwave will continue.
Glasgow was 10C hotter than World Cup venue, Porto Alegre, as sun worshippers flocked to the city's parks and squares.
Sadly, forecasters says temperatures won't be quite as high today, reaching around 21C.
And temperatures across the West of Scotland are expected to dip slightly again over the weekend, despite plenty of sunny spells.
Hundreds flocked to parks and beaches across Scotland during the last few days, in a bid to make the most of the good weather.
Highs of 26C were recorded in West of Scotland yesterday and thousands of people took advantage, heading to beaches, outdoor pools and parks throughout the country.
Temperatures of around 20C will last until the end of the weekend.
