A REVELLER stole police uniforms right under the noses of officers who were investigating an incident in a bar.
Cheeky Andrew Stewart casually opened the driver's door of the unlocked police vehicle and helped himself to high-visibility force-issue jackets, police hats, kit bags and other items.
Two women witnessed the theft and went into Collier's Bar in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, to alert officers.
When cautioned, Stewart said: "You got me - it was just a laugh -there was a packet of Pringles too!"
Stewart, of Easwaldbank, Kilbarchan, 34, had sentencing deferred until January 30 next year.
