A SCOTTISH engineer known for his work on space technology has been given a top appointment in Glasgow.
Professor Colin McInnes MBE has been appointed James Watt Chair, Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Glasgow.
Professor McInnes is currently Director of the Advanced Space Concepts Laboratory at the University of Strathclyde, an award-winning, 30-strong space technology research centre."
He is Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Royal Academy of Engineering and was made MBE in June 2014 for services to space research.
