FANS fearing they will miss out on tickets to watch medal hopeful Eilidh Child have been reassured they will see their hero.
Dozens of friends and relatives snapped up passes to see the 27-year-old hurdler go for gold.
But they were left furious when Commonwealth Games bosses added a qualifier on another day and brought in a semi-final, leaving their tickets redundant.
Supporters spent hundreds of pounds on tickets to see Eilidh compete in the 400m hurdles heat on July 30 and the next night's final at Hampden.
The heats were then changed to July 29 with a semi-final added to the Wednesday evening's sessions.
A spokeswoman for the Games said: "Glasgow 2014 will support a limited exchange for athlete family and friends via Commonwealth Games Scotland where possible."
