DRIVERS are being warned to stay alert for young deer running on to trunk roads.
In Greater Glasgow this is most prevalent on the M8, M77, M80 and A82.
Jamie Hammond, Scottish Natural Heritage's South Scotland deer management officer, said: "People think most accidents with deer occur on remote Highland roads; in fact 70% occur on trunk roads or motorways."
