A MAN is to stand trial charged with strangling a fellow prisoner at Glasgow's Barlinnie jail.
John Clark is accused of murdering Colin Penrose between March 19 and 20 this year.
It is alleged he assaulted the 22-year-old in a cell in Barlinnie's E-block.
Clark, 21, is said to have bound Mr Penrose's hands together with rope, placed a ligature around his neck and strangled him.
Judge Lord Turnbull set a trial due to begin in November following a short hearing yesterday at the High Court in Glasgow.
