MORNING commuters faced delays following a crash on a busy motorway.
A car and a lorry were involved in the smash, which happened at around 7.30am on the M74 northbound just past the Bothwell services.
Traffic crept along the busy carriageway following the accident between junction six, Hamilton and junction 5, Raith Interchange.
Fire and medical crews were on the scene and paramedics took the car driver to Wishaw General hospital to be checked.
All lanes were reopened by 8am after the accident was moved onto the hard shoulder.
