THESE are the striking images of how a multi- million pound city development is expected to look.

More than 300 plush apartments are planned for Glasgow Harbour, the Evening Times can reveal today.

Developer Dandara - one of the UK's major housing firms - plans to complete its waterfront gh20 site with the new building.

The proposals for 339 high-quality apartments are the third and final instalment in the gh20 complex.

Rachel Allwood, from Dandara, said: "We are delighted with the response to our award-winning gh2o site.

"After the positive reaction we have already received, we have proposed to develop further residential property to complete the gh20 development.

"We all know this is a special time for Glasgow as it looks forward to being a world centre of attention as the Commonwealth Games begin.

"We also know that Glasgow is a special place and, because of the strength of the city economy, we have the confidence to bring forward these major new investment plans."

Local residents are being encouraged to attend an exhibition of the plans which is being held at the Riverside Museum on August 6, between 3pm and 8pm.

Ms Allwood added: "We look forward to hearing local resident's views on our proposals and we will take their opinions on board as the application progresses."

Meanwhile, Dandara has lodged an application for a residential and retail development in Cheapside Street.

Company bosses are still in discussions with city planners over the proposals for the Anderston area.
