VANDALS sparked outrage by defacing a statue of the Commonwealth Games mascot.
They used black paint to destroy the design on the Clyde statue at the corner of Edmiston Drive and Paisley Road West.
Twenty-five statues were installed across the city to form Clyde's Trail.
Among the many locations are the Riverside Museum, Victoria Park, Sauchiehall Street and Aikenhead Road.
Nursery school children and pupils from city primaries and secondary schools were invited to submit designs for the statues.
