A NEW Sheriff for Glasgow and Strath-kelvin has been appointed.
Solicitor Aisha Yaqoob Anwar was officially appointed to the role earlier this month.
She became a part-time sheriff in 2011 and has lectured and tutored.
First Minister Alex Salmond nominates new sheriffs on the basis of a report by the independent Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
