THE funeral of a 10-year-old boy who died after falling into a river will take place tomorrow.
Arran Cooper, from Rutherglen, died after getting into difficulty in the River Orchy in the Scottish Highlands last Tuesday while on a camping holiday with his family.
He died in the early hours of the following day at Glasgow's York-hill Hospital.
Arran was the second oldest child of Iain and Nicola and a brother to Ewan, Sophie and Nathan.
The funeral will take place at Kingspark Parish Church in Castlemilk at 11am tomorrow.
The service will be followed by a burial at Mill Road Cemetery in Rutherglen.
Mourners have been asked to wear "a touch of colour" to the service.
Arran's death came hours after 13-year-old Kyrece Francis drowned in the River Thames in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, after apparently jumping in the fast-flowing water to retrieve a football.
