RAIL passengers travelling to and from Glasgow faced disruption following a signalling fault.
Services between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Perth and Inverness were hit with delays after a technical fault was discovered between Croy and Polmont.
Some services were delayed by around 50 minutes.
Scotrail said trains were being diverted through Cumbernauld and Falkirk Grahamston.
Passengers in Edinburgh were also being directed to low level services to Glasgow and trains to Glasgow Central via Shotts.
Network Rail said they were investigating the issue and technical teams were working to fix it.
