A TEENAGER has appeared in court after a 90-year-old woman was allegedly raped in her home in Bellshill.
The pensioner - who cannot be named for legal reasons - is in hospital following the alleged attack at the weekend.
A 17-year-old man, from Bellshill, Lanarkshire, has appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.
He appeared in private and made no plea or declaration before being remanded.
He faces one charge of rape and is set to appear in court again in a week's time.
