Weightlifter,16, to face formal hearing after failing drugs test
NIGERIAN weightlifter Chika Amalaha will today face a formal hearing after failing a dope test.
The 16-year-old's B sample confirms the analysis of her failed dope test earlier this week.
She will face a formal Commonwealth Games hearing in front of Prince Imran of Malaysia this afternoon.
It is understood she could be stripped of her Commonwealth gold medal.
Mike Hooper, chief executive of Commonwealth Games Federation, said: "I can't speculate on what the outcome might be.
"But we will issue a statement after the hearing."
