A PENSIONER stole £3000 from a good Samaritan friend to pay for a funeral plan.
Agnes Adams, 65, persuaded John Jamieson, 76, to take money out of his bank that was then stored in a living room drawer at his flat.
But Adams pocketed the cash from her friend - who gave her a place to live and money for food - then paid for a funeral plan at a parlour on Westmuir Street, in Parkhead, Glasgow.
Adams was convicted at Glasgow Sheriff Court of stealing £3000, on October 19, 2011, from the man she described as her partner, although Mr Jamieson denied being in a relationship with her.
She has been ordered to carry out 100 hours' unpaid work.
