A MAN was assaulted in the Govan area of Glasgow this morning.
He was rushed to the Southern General Hospital after the attack in Woodville Street, near Ibrox subway station.
Police cordoned off the area and are making door to door inquiries.
The victim has not yet been identified and his injuries are unknown.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The man has been taken by ambulance to the Southern General Hospital and officers are at the scene.
"Inquiries are at an early stage."
