HOLYWOOD stars Juliet Mills and Maxwell Caulfield brought a touch of glamour to Erskine when they opened a Memorial Garden commemorating the start of World War One.

Caulfield, currently starring in Singing In The Rain at the Theatre Royal, was joined by his wife Juliet, whose father was Sir John Mills, and Cruachan, the Mascot of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, and Pony Major Mark Wilkinson as they also launched the Stars on Parade programme at Erskine Home in Bishopton.

The 2014 Stars on Parade concert, with the theme 'We Will Be Home By Christmas', will be held at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow on Wednesday November 5 at 7:30pm.

Stars of this year's show will include Ricky Ross, the Swing Cats, and Johnny Beattie, together with pipes, drums and military musicians and the Glasgow Philharmonia Orchestra.

In addition there will be auditions for additional chorus members from the armed forces, TA or veterans.
