A MAN who died after his car collided with a lorry has been named by police.
John Trimble, from Cumbernauld, after the crash on the A9 near Ballinluig on Tuesday morning.
The 53-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of the lorry was unhurt.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Tayside Division can confirm that a man who suffered fatal injuries as a result of a road traffic collision on the A9 near Ballinluig on Tuesday, November 4, has now been identified.
"He has been named as 53-year old John Trimble of Cumbernauld.
"Mr Trimble's family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed."
Inquiries into the crash are continuing.
