A FORMER body-guard to pop sensations Take That and McBusted is doing a "Full Monty" for charity.

Willie O'Neill and his workmates will perform the routine at a Glasgow nightclub to raise funds for Yorkhill Sick Kids Hospital and the Clyde Cash for Kids appeal.

Preparations for their very public performance at The Shed are already under way after they decided to emulate ladies from the WI by stripping off and posing for their own "Calendar Guys."

Willie is a bouncer at the South Side nightclub and he and members of the venue's security team decided to produce a male-only version of the iconic WI calendar.

The 28-year-old, from Govanhill, decided to raise cash for the causes after being inspired by his friend Gayle Chestnut, from Houston, Renfrewshire, who lost her 12-year-old son Kane to cancer earlier this year and was then struck down by breast cancer.

Kind-hearted Willie, who once dressed as a fairy to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support as his mother also battled breast cancer said: "Yorkhill and Cash for Kids are two incredibly good causes.

"Almost everyone will know a child or young person who has needed the great care offered at Yorkhill.

"The teams there are second to none and Cash for Kids helps disabled and disadvantaged children everywhere, so it's a no-brainer to back it."

The 2015 Calender Guys are available, at £7.50 each, from the Shawlands nightclub's website - www.shed glasgow.com - while Willie and the boys will be flashing more flesh on stage at the ladies night at the club on Thursday next week.

Supporting the venue's in-house "beefcakes" will be Glasgow girl band Echo and singers Jodie Pollock and Laura Osborne, along with funnyman Scott Agnew and comedy duo The Dolls.

Mixologist David Monaghan will also appear.

Nightclub boss Michele Pagliocca, who is waiving charges for the ladies night and is making a donation towards the cost of the calendar, said: "It's a pleasure to be able to support Willie and the rest of the boys as they do their bit for two great causes.

"I'm proud of them and I know regulars at The Shed and new customers alike will dig deep to help raise lots of money."
